And while we love a well-blended fade as much as the next guy (and the one next to him, and the one next to him), there’s more out there to explore. Plus, it’s a great alternative for men with thin locks who may not be able to achieve the thickness and volume required for trends like Quiff or Combover. The stark contrast between the shaved sides and the flow at the top is bold and sexy. We definitely prefer it with a nicely groomed beard like this one. Moment of truth: If you can rock a French Crop clean-shaven, we applaud you. More often than not, this cut leaves you looking like you’re back in seventh grade. It has that beautifully awkward schoolboy look that translates into a dapper, manly trend when you leave a little scruff or grow out a full-blown beard. The hard part has gone in and out of style in the 2000s. But you know when you see a guy rocking this trend, he’s best friends with his barber and probably has an impressive shoe collection. It’s 2019, and the man bun is still a thing. Mistake? We think not – but one thing we’re sure of is that it looks best with a beard. And if you’re tired of this Pinterest-perfect men’s hair trend, spice it up a little with a shaved undercut. In a world where it seems everyone is all about the clean-cut low fade, we love seeing guys rock their natural locks. If you were blessed with curls, please don’t chop them off – we beg of you. Same haircut – completely different look. The pompadour with a clean-shaven face looks dapper, but with a beard? Let’s just say it’s rugged and commands a bit more attention, in the best way possible, that is. The Pompadour – the men’s hair trend everyone wants to be able to pull off. We’ll let you in on a little secret: it’s all about the hair product. If you have long enough locks, you can achieve this volume. Youtuber and Instagram personality, Cole LaBrant brought this look back full force. There’s nothing we love more than a man with long hair (except for maybe a man bun – which Cole pulls off brilliantly, too.) This clean-cut style pairs well with a tux, a clean-shaven face, and a hard part. To get the look, use a semi-glossy product like a pomade. Try this men’s hair trend, and you’ll be smizing as hard as the guy in this photo. And if you’re not sure your locks can achieve that much volume, try adding a bit of (product) to damp hair and blow dry with a round brush, going the opposite way you’d style it. Once it’s dry, comb it back to the right side, part it, and set in place with a hair wax. Recently remade famous by the Bachelorette’s Jason Tartick, Scott Disick, and David Beckham, the slicked back do is such a classic men’s hair trend. Even women’s hair trends have hopped on board with the slicked back, wet look. If you’ve got long enough hair to pull it off, you have no excuse not to buy a jar of hair paste – like now. The best thing about this trend is that you don’t have to sacrifice your length. You can rock it with a long, lustrous flow or a shaved sides, long top look just the same. The quiff hairstyle looks almost just like the pompadour – we’ll call them cousins. It can be paired with shaved sides, layered sides, or a fade – but is typically a short-sides, long-top haircut.
